Thanks to Sunplex
November 13, 2010
The first thing I would like to say is a huge Thank you to Sunplex arena for providing us with a place to train. The guys at Sunplex agreed without hesitation to give us some court time and the team is so grateful for their gesture!
Sunplex Arena (http://www.sunplex.ca/) is located right in the heart of downtown Kelowna, and is a fantastic new indoor sports facility. The court is mainly set up as a ball hockey rink but they have an international size futsal court built into the rink. Sunplex has leagues for Ball and floor hockey, volleyball, rollerderby! and of course Futsal.
If you haven`t heard of futsal; in my opinion it is the best small version of football you can get. It`s fast, technical, and relies on skill and a good touch. Its very rare to see futsal played in Canada so its great that Sunplex have embraced the game!
Sunplex is also free for drop-ins as well as hosting lots of events such as raves, parties and functions. If you want more information speak to Brian Staples or Bryan Ducharme. These guys are great and will be only to happy to assist!
If you are in Kelowna, feel free to drop in to a Kodiaks training Saturday mornings at 10am
